"Failed to Update" Error — Missing Permission to Edit This Record

Product: Boostorder Cloud

Product: Boostorder Cloud

Issue: When trying to save changes to a record, an error dialog appears: "Failed to Update [Customer/Trade Agreement/Product] — You are not capable to update [Customer Locations/Trade Agreements/Products]," blocking the save. This can occur when editing Customers, Trade Agreements, or Products.

Cause: The admin account attempting the update does not have permission assigned to create, update, or delete that section (e.g., Customer Locations, Trade Agreements, or Products).

Fix:

  1. Raise a request to the Boostorder Support Team.
  2. Let them know which section the error is referring to (Customer Locations, Trade Agreements, or Products).
  3. Support will enable the missing permission for the affected admin account.
  4. Once enabled, retry saving the record  it should go through without the error.

Note: This is a permissions issue tied to the admin's access rights, not a bug — it requires Boostorder Support to adjust the relevant permission on the backend.
